    chatter on a z20let??

    Hi i have jus fitted a industion fit to my astra coupe turbo.
    i have a metal powere pipe with i dv attached so i tried blocking off the dv as to make to car chatter insted of dump!
    but this didnt seem to work.
    Can anybody give me any p[ointers on how i can get it to chatter???

    It may not chatter did you fit the DV? If not you may find that they have blocked the standard DV.

    You need to run no dump valve and block off the standard dump valve.

    Mine Proper chatters, and it had the standard dump valve blocked because it had a bailey valve, then i removed that and fitted a ramair induction kit (this may not be the best for the engine or turbo though).

    It does run with a wastegate as thats part of the turbo.

    Running it without a dumpvalve on standard boost apparantly does nothing if only a little, on big boost you are more likely to damage the turbo, hence the need for a valve. The noise is the boost pressure backing through the turbo and the air being chopped by the turbo blades.

    Not the best thing to do if I'm reading this wright blocking off the standard DV and then taking off the Bailey DV if that's what your saying i would not advise that to anyone DV's are their to get excess boost out of the system. If you want your turbo To say bye bye your going down the wright route, Not advised, i find the aftermarket DV's not working to well with the zlet But at least have one either the standard or the aftermarket dv don't take both off

    Not silly at all mate it's built into the turbo, as you look at the engine from the front of the car on the left hand side of the turbo their is a black tube that goes to it and that is held in a round housing located with three bolts. HTH's

    Also does the ol breather pipe that goes to the air intake have to be contected??
    mine has split and it seems to be spotty under exceliration?
