    Angry Airbag Warning Light

1.9 150ps SRi is going back into the shop for the THIRD time as the airbag warning light keeps coming on (once lit, stays on).

The shop plug in the gizmo and no error codes are recorded.

1st visit, they re-set the light.

2nd visit, they re-fitted all the connectors.

Not sure what they are going to do this time!

Only occurs when giving a bit of stick in a right turn.

Anyone else had this problem and give me any tips on what I should be saying to the shop?

    Frustratingly yours!

Thankfully there is no beeping noise to accompany the light - it's bad enough with all the other beeps for lights on, keys in, belt not on ....... drives me mad!

Tom - do you reset it yourself?

How safe is it really to drive around with the airbag warning light on?

no its been rest by vauxhalls before now but as i say mines on at the mo but i just fanny about with the wires under my seat and next day its off.

Yours might be a actual problem tho so the airbags will still work, might just be a case of taking back, other than that might just be like mine its not getting all signals back when it does its checks so throws light up.

if it only comes on when giving it some stick in a right turn then it sounds like a harness fault with the harness chaffing to earth. Will be really hard to pinpoint where the fault is without checking the complete harness

tell them to fix it thats there job if its within warranty there should be no issues. If they say there is no more that can be done try Vauxhall Customer Care and go from there.
