    Newbie Astra Bodywork Question...?

    Hi everyone,

I'm smiling, I have entered the world of the Astra, but i'll be honest I haven't a clue about cars, modifying or engines, so any help anyone can offer would be great.

I have just bought an 05 2.0t Sport Hatch 3 Door Astra in Black. I love the car, but I think it would look a lot better with a "discreet" spoiler on the back to finish it off.

Having spoken to the Vauxhall Dealer I have been told that as I have an SRi model I can't have one from their catalogue but with no explanation as to why.

I have searched High and Low on the internet for a company that may sell one that looks not too chav (apologies, not meaning to offend), who can paint and fit it but i'm not having much look.

I don't mind travelling to someone reputable, but i'm drawing blanks.

    Any suggestions, Links, advice.

    Much appreciated with anticipation.

    Pete

    Hey Pete,

I'm not to sure why yoy where told you can't have one lol.
Unless they think you already have one. as alot of SRI's come with the XP kit, which includes spoiler, side skirts and one or 2 other things.

Nice and simple : LMF is great place.(doesn't come painted)

    Ebay:
Then you can always keep an eye out on ebay.

I can't see why vauxhall told you no your not allowed.

Ring them and inquire about the xp styling pack/vxr styling pack. See what they tell you.

    Joe,

Thanks for your reply. I'm stumped. I checked the Vauxhall acessories website and the dealer and its true they all say not for SRi - Weird. I'm liking the Irmscher Spoiler.

I got a quote today to supply, paint and fit the spoiler for just under £400 including VAT, I don't know whether that is good considering the part is just over £200, as I said I haven't a clue when it comes to these things.

    Cheers

    Pete
