    Talking In-Car PC enquiry

    Hey guy's n gal's

    i know this is a silly question cause im sure a few of you's do..

    but do you's have any in car pc's linked to a screen in center console?

    if so is it hard to do? and how much time is involved? what is needed to complete this?

    i'm intreged about this and wanna try attempt it but dont know where to start

    I did it on the cheap with my old pug 106 and it is quite easy.
    you will have to make a chek list of what you need.

    Heres a basic list:
    • Carpc case £80
    • Power supply £40
    • Pc components (mini atx mother board, processor, ram and Hdd) Depending on what spec you want £100+
    • VGA touch screen 7" or 8" £70 to £180 (liliput are the best ones to go for)
    Then its the smaller things that bump the price up
    • car pc program free to £200 (centrafuse is the best 1)
    • Various cables and controols £60
    • Dvd drive and keyboard £40
    Thats just a basic guide and final costs will depend on where you get the bits and any parts you have.
    Its not just a case of chucking the bits in and running it like a headunit, you have to strip down windows xp and tweek it so it dont take soo long to boot up.
    But the end results are really good, I had a total multimedia hub.
    (ipod control, multi media, satnav, DAB radio, bluetooth and even car dionosis)
