    Unhappy Sorry to repeat

Hi guys. I really hate going over old ground so feel bad for asking this. I have used the search function but still cant make my mind up.

I should be getting my new 150sri in the next few weeks and cant seem to decide between the regal EDS IPF or the DTUK CRD2.

They both seem to put out the same BHP (around 205 apparently) and the EDS seems to give an extra 20nM of torque over the DTUK box, so not that much difference.

I like the fact the EDS raises the redline and removes the limiter. Also like increased particle filter cleaning and getting rid of the EGR.

However the CRD2 is about £250 and the regal remap is about £565.

Is the regal box really £315 better than the DTUK box. Does the regal box make the car better to drive etc etc?

Anyone able to shed any light on this to me? Please only post if you have used these devices, I don't want people just speculating

Many thanks for your help guys and sorry again

The Regal thingy is horribly overpriced. There's plenty of remappers out there that provide the same EDS map for half Regal's price. I got mine for £200+VAT.

I like the regal one asit can quickly removed. I need that with it being a company car and keeping it within warranty.

i think the dtuk box is easier removed (just one clip really)... a whole lot cheaper and give a noticeable difference on performance and mpg. i have the crd2 box and mine and is worth every penny

Hi ya what about running it in standard spec for a while then, when you do upgrade to will really appreciate your new power.

Also £565.00 for a remap sounds to much, you could go for one of the other respectable companies out there and save yourself £200 to £300, with the saving you could get yourself an Exhaust or some other power upgrade.

The remap is only about £350 I think. You then get what appears to be a hand held unit, for about £200 which allows you to download new maps from home, remove maps, change maps etc etc. I'd love an exhaust but wouldn't get away with it which is a shame.

Box is probably your best bet if it's not your motor. The £600 remapping kits aren't worth it.
