Unhappy astra coupe turbo jittering on idle and half throttle

    after some advice guys,
ok recently just started doing this jittering as if stalling etc, when on half throttle and release accelarator, and occasionally does it on idel, nearly stalls then kicks in again and carries on.

ive taken dump valve off (which is a baileys dv) always been fitted for few years with no probs, and checked it and cleaned it, regreased etc, just in case this could be prob.
checked all dump valve and other hoses to make sure airtight etc too.

    confused now what could be?
recently replaced afm about a year back with ne wone, so presume wont be this this early..
havnt had any recent work done on it, other than a aircon re-gas etc.

    any ideas ?

    any suggestions ?

can give any more info if required so.
    thank you.

Air flow meter is a posibility as they can last as little as a month, infact a year is quite good!.

    Possible air leak.
Tell me what you've done, not what you're going to!

wow, i always thought they would go at least year on average!
    and at £70 a pop .... !!

if i hook my car up to code reader would it tell me what problem is?

and to check for air leak where do i start first ?
    thanks.

yeah but it cant be the d/v causing problem m8 surely as has been working flawlessly for over 2 years.

i have noticed that the jittering does it a lot more on hot days...weird but true!

and ... i dont have the oe d/v as got removed when baileys was fitted.
im pretty sure this happened, where is the oe d/v located normally?
anyone that has picture avail to show me, would be greatly appreciatted.

    thanks everyone for the help.

yer think its AFM gone, gonna order one from LMF, 90 quid delivered, same time will out of curiosity phone local vauxhall dealer and have laugh at what price they come up with...just for fun of it!
i shall post back here once fitted new AFM for results, etc.

is it safe to drive on faulty/knackered AFM? what may or could happen to me on way home (30 miles) from work in worst scenario, can a knackered AFM totally cut off engine etc ?

    cheers all.

Ok, got hold of an AFM from (wait for it! .. dealers local in stock too, at trade price of £112.88p, normally £132.00 was told)...as needed it fast!

fitted and so far so good, runs great! and its amazing what difference in accelaration ive been missing! LOL.
guys definetly think about replacing these more often....unlike me!

thanks for everyones help ... will post back here if anythig changes, i.e still jittering..so far so good!
