HELP turbo possibly gone, mechanic useless - any recommendations?

Despite having already spent over £1,000 at a local garage to fix the problem I'm pretty sure my turbo is going & desperately need to find a mechanic in North/East London - does anyone have any recommendations?

And also any recommended dealers for part if can fix it myself?

    Thanks

LMF are the best motorfactors for vauxhall IMO.

Describe the problems first to see if we can help diagnose.

He's from NE London Danny, why don't you post up the details of who in that area you know that could help him?

    Thanks

Thanks for replies - I've had a look today using info I've found on here & I'm pretty sure the turbo has gone! Black smoke been pouring out for while.

I'm in E17 and work round Arnos Grove.

Also looking for a side skirt in gold (passenger, back) if anyone has advise on getting replacement cheaply?
Found few from £80 upwards but would have to paint.

Oh and a manual - has anyone found one for Astra Turbo Coupe?

    Cheers!

Dont think theres a manual for the turbo, you have to get the 98-> astra haynes and apply the x20xev stuff as its essentially the same, the coupe is just a "different shaped" version of the 3 door hatch (*more or less).

Smoke is turbo, or head basically. Turbos more likely on a lower milage (from accidentental damage) head more likely on higher milage (wear and tear).
