    thinking of going 2.0l

    hi all without reference to my previous thread i have seen a 2.0l cavalier for sale for £350 how hard would it be t do a transplant into my astra g and would it be worth doing?

    8v or 16v

    8v = 20SEH (early SRi with 128bhp) 1988-1992
    8v = C20NE (later SRi with 113bhp) 1992-

    16v = C20XE red-top 147bhp 1992-
    16v = Ecotec X20XEV 134bhp 1994-

    All depends on which lump it is....as to whether its worth doing.....depends what u plan to achieve.

    early i think dont know if it is 8v or 16v literally saw it as i drove past in the work van lol not very helpful i know

    if its a 8v i wouldnt bother or if its a eco, if its a xe its not all that difficult would be a gsi or later sri to be a xe tho

    I am but there my personal favourite alot off people mite say otherwise. c20 xe (redtop) are good fast engines hence why u findthem in everything astras corsas novas calibras cavaliers even saw one in a daewoo on ebay. if not why not go whole hog and put a 2.5 or 3.0 v6 in
