    spoiler fitting kit

    is there such a thing? i have the bolts ect but the body shop i went to said cant fit without a fitting kit. i understand its hard to do freehand and they didn't want to jeff it up so thats fine but im wondering where i can get hold of a kit from?

    its an irmshire spoiler like...



    that one...
    well, it is that one but its not that colour anymore :P

    so any ideas where i can get a kit from? local vaux dealer maybe? would they fit it do you think?

    don't need a fitting kit mate all you do is get them to spray it then get a peice of paper put it on the bottom of the spoiler(where the holes are to put the bolts into or where its got threads stickin out depends which type it is) mark round the base pieces both sides mark the position of where the holes are gonna be . then cut them out. place the spoiler on the boot lid where u want it. mark round the bases, then put the stencils on the base marks and drill your holes where applicable. bingo.

    Check the How-To's m8, more specifically, the Mk4 Info Files section, but here is a link to something that might help.

    Open online, or right-click & save target to your pc (recommended).

    You can out anything you like between the boot spoiler & boot lid, but I recommend a thin strip of rubber, cut to size & shape, then get the holes in the right position, & you should be ok.
    Double-sided sticky tape the rubber to the spoiler may help keep it in place too.
