    revs sittin over 1200 then dropin

    hi when i turn the key and start the engine after leavin the car for a few hours the revs sit at over 1200 then 5 mins later drop slowly to about 800 if this normal or summit wrong?

    could be if its really gold, or if the aircon is on, if not give the throttle body/ICV a clean

    My Zafira GSi does this mate, if the car's cold it'll just be the choke although it normally takes 45secs - 1 minute to drop then it stays down there...

    As above try cleaning the throttle body and do a search for "ICV" or "idle control valve" and clean that too, does it ever do it at when you've stopped at the lights etc or when the engines warm??
