    Q's to guides

    Hi

A couple of questions for a few of the guides.

    Ok..

    Fitting bonnet lifters.

Will astra MK4 lifters work on the ZAF A ?

I found these on ebay f.ex..

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VAUXHALL-ASTRA...6.c0.m14.l1308

Derestricting airbox. (Vectra C inlet pipe)

Will these 2 things give me better fuel economy ? It seems that the guide is focused on getting more hp/torque but i might want better fuel economy rather than more speed.

What is the downsides to these mods ? What will get worse ? (If nothing...Why did they not do this from the factory)..

Oh yeah and one final question..

Is there any radio out there that will fit instead of the CDR500, that can use the TID display like the `CDR500 ... AND has MP3 capabilities ? (not USB connection, just be able to read a cd with MP3's) ?

    Yes they'll fit

Unlikely. Never noticed any diff with mine. They help more with the engine breathing, making it more responsive and maybe freeing up a pony or two.

No real downsides I don't think... might get a teensy bit more induction noise, but you probably won't notice it in all honesty.

Thee are a few alternatives that will do what you want, I'll let someone else supply you with model names tho... I don't know any of them!

No standard fit at the moment. Sound is much better than the CDR500. I mainly got it for the i-pod connection which is brill as I have full search control on the HU and tracj selection on steering wheel.
