    Asking for comments about things

I too have noticed a few negative comments about cars on here BUT if that's what they think then surely they are entitled to their opinion.

If someone asks for opinions about something and they don't like the replies why put the post up in the first place.

We are all grown ups (Well most of us ) so I am sure we wont cry over some negative comments.

Opinions are always good, but just blatantly being rude isn't helpful, i.e "it looks shit".

If thats all someone has to say, why bother posting it?

I have seen the posts you are talking about. To me, it seems the people who are making these comments are just spamming the board.

2 words - Constructive Criticism. That's what most of us are after

    "That's shit" isn't overly constructive.

Constructive criticism is a good thing IMO.

I posted up pics of my Coupe about a month ago and from the feedback received I went ahead and made home-modified standard grille which I'm quite pleased with

I've broad enough shoulders to take the less constructive comments like' I dont like it' or ' that looks gay'.

I have seen some comments and agree that yes they are blunt and too the point. But when you see comments like 'Oh its not my style' or 'Its not my cup of tea' what we are thinking is yes its shit

Maybe when people ask for comments about things if they cant take negative comments or it upsets them they should ask for 'Constructive criticism' only

yes but even if thats the case, its good that most of us are considerate and carefully word negative replies. and adding "thats just my opinion" or "as long as you like it" goes a long way towards affirming that we're not out to shoot people down, just express our views.

But people shouldn't expect comments like "its shit", "rubbish" etc etc. Fair enough that person may not like it, but explain what they don't like and how they would personally improve it. Then that stupid immature comment, suddenly becomes helpful criticism.

Otherwise if you can't be arsed to make a proper reply, and they're only writing "its shit" in the hope to upset people, go away to a different forum as your not welcome here IMO.
There the sort of stupid comments you would expect to see on youtube, not AOC.

As you say it would be helpful, but even comments like would be an improvement over some of the ones I have read today.
