Bye bye VXR Castle Combe Edition - because it's done more laps of Castle Combe than most Bergs have of the Ring

Several companies make and supply and fit these... common name is Clear Bra, or Paint Protection Film... google search either and you'll get a few links

Actually second thoughts, best watch what links you get typing Clear Bra into Google!!! But that is their common name, basically a clear film that goes over the front of the car to protect the paint from stone chips and the like.

I've seen them applied and they do work to protect the paint underneath... however, I have seen them applied well where you only notice a slight dulling of the finish compared to just bare paint, and I have seen them applied badly where they make the paint just look naff to the point I'd rather have the stone chips.

If you tank up and down motorways and A-roads, then I would suggest they are a worthy investment - to that end, I'm considering one myself for my Volvo which picks up loads of chaps being slab-fronted, having seen them on other people's cars. Just ensure its a reputable outfit that fit it.
