    CAT question

Im pricing up a new CAT for my mk4 1.6, when i search for one for my engine code, it brings up a Maniverter, it looks like exactly what i need, but i was just wondering what the difference between a CAT and a Maniverter is???

A CAT is short for Catalytic Coverter... because your cat is likely to be in the manifold they probably merged it with the manifold to come up with a 'Maniverter'

    So no real difference!

That sounds conceivable on one hand but on the other just like you made it up. I hav never heard of a maniverter so maybe SXT is correct in his research/asssumption.

    Smile

Yep that seems to be the reason, its merged to the manifold, hence the name 'maniverter'.
