    Welcome mate

Chances are you have some how managed to blow the fuse for the headunit so check the fuse box out

The MK3 is simple enough to check them all out on. It may be on the same circuit as the interior light so do they all work?

    Not so simple?

    I have a similar problem.

The electric areial got damaged and would jam, the car would try to retract it when turning the ignition off but it would get stuck.

    This drains the battery!!

I asked the garage to disconnect the aerial.

No battery problems but the radio will not power on!!

There is a melted fuse at one end of the box,

But all the interior lights work fine!

    /\ /\ Welcome mate /\ /\

Unless the electric aerial is faulty it shouldn't drain the battery if the aerial is bent as it only tries to pull the aerial down for about 20 seconds

What is the melted fuse for ?
