    Minifold Bolts . . . .

Well, after having a clicking sound comeing from the front of the car when cold and after hearing that someone else had the problem and they had a loose turbo (cant find the thread) i decided to have a look for myself. After nearly smashing 10bells out of the ****ing stupid shitly designed heat shiled i finally got it out. Had a look and nothing seemed to be wrong. So just for good measure i tried to tighten the manifold bolts. OMG, about 4 out of 8 where loose! I must have turned the rachet enough to close a gap of 1/2mm to 1mm. I was very shocked. Then, obviously, went out for a spin. F'in hell, what an improvement. No shitting it felt much quicker and the turbo was there after every gear change, ready to pounce. Could not believe it. Turbo spoil and dump is quieter now but hay, i have a nippier motor. If you have a spare moment, check em. You'll be surprised!

A few people seem to have suffered this problem, glad to hear it was a cheap fix and and the cars a bit quicker now.

i used some floppy extension bar (enables a bit of give between the socket and extension bar) with various deep and normal sockets. it took me ages (probly cos i broke my rachet a while ago) but alas, my manifold is cracked

it takes a while but is worth the agro.
