    What a piss take!

£60 to fill the tank up today!!

    What a piss take!!

Never thought I'd hear myself say "I wish petrol was £1 a litre"

Lol. One of my mates told me the government were going to set up televisions displaying porn at petrol stations so that you could watch someone else get ****ed at the same time as you

yup, I currently have a courtesy car due to mine awaiting insurance assessor, I asked for a diesel seeing as I had to put in some miles (ovre 330miles actually) this weekend, and expressed a preference for something vauxhall, what did I get? an 08 reg 1.8 litre petrol ford focus

So, you get it with a full tank of petrol, but you also have to return it like that. I got under 1/4 tank since I got the car on thursday, so put £20 in on the way home, I am now JUST on 1/4 tank how much is it going to take me to refill the damn thing to hand it back? I have no money at present as the accident has caused my old (2001) back injury to reawaken and I'm in agony half the time, dosed up on painkillers but I can't work so I can't earn any money, so I don't know where the money is going to come from to refill this damn courtesy car. I can't even run about in my valeting van as a front spring has snapped on that and is going to cost about £133 to put right (parts, labour and VAT) which I can't afford, so got to use the petrol burning and nearly empty focus.

its gettin stupid now, somehow i cant see petrol coming down,

ahh well bush and brown are having a chat about it today, but i dont think theres any chance of brown reducing the taxes on petrol,

do you think gridlock and a complete nationwide shortage of petrol will do the trick?

Petrol won't come down now, even with strikes and such

Fuel Companies realise we're wrapped around their fingers

£2 a litre is a funking piss take, they'll have made a load from that

I'm dreading my first trip the the garage this Friday as I know the new motor will come with next to no petrol in the tank. It has been bad enough filling up the Polo lately, but the new Astra has a substantially bigger tank. Score one for me though, I should be just hitting the petrol light coming on when I hand over the Polo on Friday, hurrah!

How much is it per litre where you guys are then?

'Cause it's still "only" £1.17 per litre. So it's still "cheap", hasn't really gone up

I had the pleasure of buying 50 litres at £1.21 a litre, ****ing scandalous!

Kirsty, that's pretty lame of the car company - especially seeing as my mate just got a diesel courtesy car while his is being repaired when he asked for a petrol!! Maybe they just do it to inconvenience people as much as possible? God knows.

At least I'm driving a bit more sensibly now and got around 400 miles out of my last tank, this one I think I'll get about 370 out of going by what I've used so far.
