MOSFET isn't a brand, it's how the amp or A/V receiver is produced. MOSFET stands for - "metal–oxide–semiconductor field-effect transistor"

It's all about how it outputs the sound in a nice linear curve on an amp graph to put it very basic. Instead of turning an amp up and being on a scale of 1-50 ... the first 25 notches it goes up LOADS and then the next 25 is basically nothing, MOSFET amps have a nice gradual increase in volume from notch 1 to 50 ... all with roughly the same extra applitude applied to each increase.

There's probably alot of other benefits too but from what I remember reading about them, that's one of the benefits with relation to amps & A/V receivers.

id love to know what the output on this amp actually is, cant remember the formula but iirc youd be struggling to get anywhere near that amount of power through a 25a fuse and 8awg wire

TBH i dont think it is worth £80 but then again im not a fan of unbranded amps

what exactly are you planning on using the amplifier to power

mosfets have a better output curve as they are voltage based amps not current based amps, meaning a high input impedance and no current draw from the source,so no voltage collapse at high gain.
