    Recirculation system...

can any one tell me what fan/heater settings the recirculation works on? im having problems with mine and need to do some testing to figure out what the problem is but it would help if I knew what settings it ment to work on first lol.

Iv got aircon on an 02' coupe turbo, but not climate control, any advise would be welcome!

lol... ok mate I've had this exact problem that your having and Im don't worry all the steaming isn't a big deal and its relatively easy to fix.

There is basically a small motor that operates the flap that opens and closes when you switch on/off re-circulate. That motor is nackered. You'll just about be able to see it if you remove the glovebox. its sort of hard to explain to you exactly what you can do by typing but I've sent you a pm have a look!

I have the same problem with recirculation motor on my Astra. It opens/closes a few times, and than gets stuck in one of two positions (open or closed flap). I've alredy tried lubricating cogs inside servo motor, but it didn't helped.
So, yussy786, would you send me a PM with explanation how to repair it? If I got it right, you've sorted it out yourself, right?

    Cheers

I'm having the same problem for about a year now, and i haven't fixed it.
I guess the solution is to replace the motor.
Besides getting a motor from the local parts shop, is there any other shop online that i can get the motor? I've looked at ebay but i haven't found any.

Yes, it's because the flap stays at the position where it prevents fresh air comming into the cabin. That's why when you turn the knob to the position where air goes to windows, when it worked fine, it would open the flap in order to let fresh air in. One solution if you have steamy windows is to turn air condition on. I have disconnected my flap motor for a year now.
