    fly by wire/potentiometer problems

I have been having problems for while with my throttle potentiometer.

The light came on so i had the code read at vaux and it read "throttle potentiometer", so i replaced it with a new pedal.
But no luck as the light still comes on

Is there anything else that could cause a fault with the throttle sensor?
Anyone experienced this sort of problem?

Why on earth do they make cars so bloody complicated now, whatever happened to a good old wire , it broke and you replaced for a fiver job done!!

Any help would be much appreciated

Was it definatly a fault with the internal throttle potentionmeter rather than the external throttle valve postioner

It looks like if you take all the pipe work off for the air intake and look at the engine from the drivers wing the wiring will be just below the TB on the left. Your looking for a 8 pin plug

Found it , its connected to the TB

Theres a little grey box on the back of the TB which i thought was the ICV, but i have since found there is no ICV on this engine

How do i replace said item ?

    Thanks for all your help
