    Lowering on 18's

    Hey guy's long time no post just got car back on road..

    need a lil help on decidin.. i have just purchased 18" KEI Racing Force 10 in hypersilver black (Because they didnt have the Matt Gunmetal in stock)

    now for my 5 dr Astra Whats the best height to lower it? i have bought Springs that lower by 60 all round.. from your experience whats the comfiest?

    I mean i want it low but the kinda low that it wont rub..

    all help appreciated

    I have 18" on my 5dr and its lowered about 50mmish






    The wheels are bk333 with an offset of 40

    My mates got KEI force 10's on his coupe, lowered 60 all round, tyres 215/35 and he says they dont rub, but they must be close

    excellent guys cheers... DP88.. do you know if it rubs when people in the back? its 215/35 i have also just got my lowering springs through yesterday but picked them up today now just need to wait on the 18's coming...

    also any drop lower than 40mm i woul seriously consider upgrading the shocks aswell.

    alot of shops, be it online or not tend to have notices up saying that a drop lower than 40mm, the shocks should be changed, i mean its not something you have to do straight away but it wont do them much good as they are under the wrong weight.

    Well..... he says that they dont rub with people in the back, but im convinced that they must rub! Because yours is a hatch it may be different tho, Heres a pic of his....

    On my old astra i had 18's with a 60mm drop, didnt rub at all even with 5's up.



    wheels where ET45 with 215/35/18 tyres.
