Sticking Barrel - solved but questions

    Hey chaps

i see there is quite a wide range of people who had this probblem

basicily key would not turn at all (steering lock was not engaged) .. eventualy enough wigerling and pushing and a bit of WD40 it turned, but now its very stiff and requires a good nack to get it to turn now .. pressing toward barrel and wiggle and then it will go.

Am i correct when i say i need new barrel .. does the barrel come with everything i need

    Quotes from Vauxhall was

£73.70 INC Vat for new barrel (give them my key number etc)

will this come with everything i need

Also are these quite easy to fit ?

    Regards

    Dave

if you have a spare key try that and see if its easier, a worn key could be causing your problem

Take the barrel out and spray the brass sliders and barrel with grease

my spare key looks just as 'used' as the other, tbh it hasnt done it today at all, very strange! will grease it all up at the weekend.

Did we get a resolution to this one as my barrel sometime sticks when i take the key out which leaves the stereo on and the buzzer sounds when i open the door.
