    alloy wheels cleaning and repair

    hi can anyone offer me a bit of advice my wheels on my van are mint apart from where the old lead balance weights used to be just had new tyres fitted where the weights used to be looks like the lead has rotted the alloy i think

    the weights shouldn't be hammered onto alloys, there are now sticker weights that stick on the inside of the wheel.

    There could be burnt on brake dust and there'll be some stubborn dirt on there so I would was with All Purpose Cleaner, clay the wheels, then polish with something like Auto Glym Super Resin Polish, then put some wheel sealant on there to help repel future brake dust.

    It could be the case if its bubbling, then the weight has broken the laquer and air and water has been let in. Post some pictures to give a clearer idea mate.
