It's shocking, at first I thought it was my cousin. He's 24, a goalkeeper, plays in the championship and drives a black landrover.

this was why the M6 was closed on the way to PVS!
Astra is coming back..bigger badder and better
..or is it? Thinking of buying a coupe

No symphathy for him whatsoever. I hope the football fans give him some shit over this!

He should be stripped of everything he owns IMO, see how it feels to lose something so precious.

    That poor family

Deaths happen in accidents, i feel for their loss, but it could have been anyone coming the other way - the outcome would have still been the same !

I'm not condoning what he has done, as by all accounts he was over the limit, but then most of us have probably jumped straight in the car the following morning after a bender

It doesn't actually say whos fault it was but is an absolute tragedy.

The time it happened is hard to determine, but I'd guess the bloke was driving straight after a night out i.e. recently left a club or something.

He should be severly punished if it's his fault - undoubtedly he'll feel bad, but causing a crash, being under the influence AND uninsured, surely deserves imprisonment - probably not though as jails are bursting at the seams!

I personally think there's no such thing as an accident where drink driving is concerned, you get in the car knowing theres a good chance you might kill someone.

And as far for not having insurance that's just a slap in the face to people like me that struggle to pay their insurance but do, he's got more money than me and decides not to pay it, typical idiot, above the law.

Have you ever gotten into the car the following morning to go out after a night before drinking ?? Probability if you have you would be over the limit - I would put good money on most people doing this, so does this make us all idiots who drink drive ???

Again I'm not condoning it, but i hate people who sit on their high horse and are usually hypocritical and do the same thing.

The un-insured thing is also a much bigger problem than you think. I bet there is probably quite a high number of cars on here that aren't technically insured due to an un-declared mod or the like - same thing at the end of the day = no insurance !

no excuse for being un-insured. Not the first or last time we will hear of a professional footballer being un-insured - seems to come with the profression.

My high horses are intact.. I rarely drink and at most will only have a pint if im driving early the next morning.. I very much doubt I have driven with more than a trace of alcohol in my system.

My comment still stands and applies to anyone caught over the limit - make an example of them with a severe punishment.

The guy is a **** for being stupid in the first place to drive ( even if it was the night before as he was driving early morning ), he is a **** for not having insurance and he is a **** for having a landrover.
