    Holes behind bump strips

    Hey all,

In a previous thread in the detailing section, I mentioned that I had removed the bump strips to clean behind them.

    This is how they looked:

Behind each strip, they are a couple of round holes that appear to do nothing. Should I cover them with duck tape to aid the sound deadening? I have sound deadening on the inside of the door, but I didn't have enough to do the outer most panel (the one with the bumstrips) so I've not covered those hole from the inside.

Worth doing? Or are they used to vent heat/moisture on hot/humid days?

Doh, title should read "...bump stips".

Bum holes are a completely different topic!
