Question Clunk click when accelerating in 2nd

    Hi,

I have been meaning to ask this for ages. When I accelerate in 2nd gear for the first time from cold, there is a clunk........ click from (presumably) the gear box. Does anyone else suffer this? It has done it since I have had the car and there dont appear to be any issues with the gearbox. Any ideas?

    Cheers,

Is this *only* when the car is cold?

It might have something to do with the automatic limiter thingy in the car - it wont let you lead-foot it until it's warmed up.

sounds like the abs system self test. mine dows this clunk-click too.
    don't worry about it
i'm assuming you change out of 1st gear quite early

I think it might be the traction control doing a self-test. I didn't even know I had TC until trying to wheelspin on snow on Monday!!!
