    splitting a cv joint

    has anyone ever done this?

i want to split a calibra cv joint and an astra cv joint (z20let) and put the astra middle into the calibra joint so it will fit into my hub.

i know its possible to split the joint buy how?

I am 99% sure it is not possible to split the Z20LET cv joint like you can on the older cars.

    Exclamation

£30odd quid sounds like a good price considering the hastle to bodge one (excuse the terminology) together.

its only a thick metal machined down with splines cut in.

i have had a few bits of work done by them its all been top quality

tbh 30 was a rough estimate though but the most i have seen is 40 for 1 shaft made up.
