Thumbs Down Derestricting airbox and fitting VXR suction pipe

Finally done this to my car, took me around 30-40mins to do.

Just wanted to post to warn other people who may do it - Not sure how easy it was on the Astra G but on the Astra H I found it REALLY fiddly and annoying to get the old suction pipe out and was terrified of damaging the radiator.

Eventually did it in the end and apart from that it is very straight forward but if you aren't confident in doing this then I advise against it, as I said I was terrified of doing something to the radiator Get someone who may be experienced to help or maybe ask for someone local on the forum I got North Wales covered

Sounds ok now it's all fitted, hope I haven't done something stupidly wrong and it'll breakdown or something

Its fiddly on the G too, but i just hacksawed the front trumpet bit off of my pipe on the G, made it loads easier and i'm not exactly going to be needing it again.

I've derestricted and fitted Vectra C intakes on pub car parks, Vauxhall heritage centre car park and outside Thorney motorsport with basic and minimal tools and no help from anyone.

Just get in there is what I say.

Maybe I are not as good as you BUT I HAVE ANOTHER PROBLEM!!!

When it says to remove the pipe from the bottom half of the airbox (the one with the lug you push in from the side) well there is a hole left where that lug was... what do I do with it?! Or is that pipe not meant to come out???

If that bit of electrical tape can get past your filter you have bigger problems than a small hole in the bottom of your air box . Just put some electrical tape over it and it will be fine. I can bring you some nice exhaust wrap tape to PVS if you want?
