    1.6 16v went pop

hey guys hope this is in the right section

anyways to cut a long story short my timing belt snapped buckled a couple valves and found the front end rasp to be a split manifold as suspected on my mk4 SXi so planning replacing the engine for something abit bigger

having been looking for the past couple weeks for a c20xe or c20let at a reasonable price now a m8 has offered me a 2.5 v6 with 167bhp from an omega but with out the gearbox as engines go i know the help the car to move

will it be possible to fit the 2.5 into the engine bay?
can it run using the standard SXi box?
    and astra drive shafts?
or what will i need to make it possible?

will the weight of the engine cause steering problems as in under or over steer?

im pretty much stumped and even thinking of just finding a standard to do a straight swap my heads frazzled

    your advice is deffo needed

Yes its been done before. Andyv6 was his username or V6andy one of the 2 anyway.

    Not on your nelly.
    and astra drive shafts?
    Doubtful

New box although I'm unsure which one. Probably one from a Veccy V6.

Understeer if you cane it into a bend. More weight at the front the more the car will want to carry on going straight.

Hope the above helps a bit.
    Its a jam thing
