    dash lighting issue, PLease help

Hello everyone, im really hoping someone may be able to shed some light on this problem for me.

I went out in my car earlier and when i put on my sidelights/full lights i noticed that when i switch these lights on the centre display console that reads the radio station, time, date, etc and also the mileometer under the speedo that lets you know the amount of miles the car has travelled both dissapear and also the backlight for the speedo and rev counter do not work. when i switch off the sidelights/full lights the centre display and mileometer both re apear.

The backlights for the speedo do not seem to work at all but i can not understand as to why the display and mileometer disapear when i put my lights on, could this be a fuse maybe ?

Any ideas would be most helpful as at present i can not drive the car in the dark hours for the meantime untill i figure out what the issue is.

Thanks in advance to anyone that may be able to help.

There is a dial underneath your light switch, move it all the way up and they should light up!
