    Quality of non GM parts?

I have a Mk3 Astra in very good condition, which is starting to wander about the road a bit. I'm tempted to replace the front suspension arms and the shocks as they are all original anyway. I normally buy parts from a reputable motor factors called CAFCO. Any general comments on whether it would be better to buy these from Vauxhall?

    Thanks

You're running original shocks on a Mk3?!? Holy crap, no wonder it wanders.

Get yourself down to Euro Car Parts and get a set of Bilsteins - even their black "standard" dampers are a million times better than Vauxhall's own junk.

Shocks are the last thing you buy from Vauxhall. They're overpriced rubbish.

I bought it a couple of years ago, 40K miles, one mature lady owner since 1994, serviced every year but largely original bits.

OK, so I'll go for non Vauxhall dampers. Still wonder about the suspension arms though.
