looking for a foglight relay for my front foglights but havnt been able to find one. been to the local scrapyard and they didnt have any mk4 astras, halfrauds didnt have any and the local car shop didnt either. will any other ones fit?
where would be a good place to buy one for cheap?

god u must be tight!!!! they're only about £4 from Vauxhall

If u wanna temporary measure then just nick one of the other little black relays from the fuse box - they are all the same - say for instance the rear heated window one as u may not have a need for it this time of year...

Long term tho a trip to the dealers quoting part number 24432680 will see u with a shiny new relay - pop it in and jobs a good un (providing u got the relevant switch, fuses and wiring)

well in that case nick one of the other ones as i said.....but at the same time one could argue whether fogs are a necessity too - providing of course u dont intend on using them illegally (ie when its not foggy!) lol

if u can be bothered to go to the scrappy again then most of the common Vxls use the same relay for (front fogs, rear screen, horn,Elec Mirrors, Headlamp etc....)

Cav, Calibra, Corsa B/Tigra, Corsa C, Agila, Astra G

If u check for a part number on the relay then it'll either be 24432680 or 90274683 particularly on older models....

these little relays have a tendency to jump into pockets and not reappear until u get home and thus not paid for....quite bizarre really.

my mistake....on the Astra G it is indeed

on some other models its the same.....i wasnt concentratin properly when lookin lol

Therefore if u wanna borrow one of your other ones from the other accesories then u can choose from:

    Elec mirrors
    Headlight main beam
    Horn
Rear wiper (this is what i was getting confused with earlier when i said heated window)
