    This weeks bits and bobs

Well it's been a quiet month this month as the funds have been tight. I had just enough cash spare to get a couple of bits tidied up and to pay for the new dials i ordered from metal moneky. Yes this will be my 3rd set, LOL!

So here's the dials that i ordered, these are similar to the ones which LMF stock but i emailed Naomi to ask her to make a couple of changes.

I also pooped into Vauxhall and picked up some of the turbo brake ducts and under-wishbone brake deflectors aswell as a new splash guard.

Whilst i had th bumper off and the car on stands, i thought i may aswell tidy the bakes up a bit as they were looking rather shabby. this led to remving the hub brackets to and having those and the caliper brackets powder coated and the centre of the discs were painted as were the knuckles on the drive shafts and the calipers. All were attaqcked with a wire wheel and angle grinder first of course

my only concern is you have painted the areas in which the brake pads slide on the carrier, because pads are designed to have a snug fit on the carrier, it only takes a thin layer of paint/debry to cause friction between pad and carrier which in-turn could possibly cause your brakes not to work efficiently.

just thought i would mension it, rather that than keep my mouth shut and something terrible happen

I was about to say the same thing with the powder coat on the caliper carrier. I painted som before and it failed its MOT because of an imbalance of braking, so I removed the paint in the areas where the pads slide and everyhting was OK again.
