    VXR Front Number Plate

    Hey,

    does anyone know how to get a plate to fit the VXR front bumper contours??

    Yes. You'll need a piece of 20mm pipe, a hairdrier, 2 books, 2 bricks, and a lot of patience.

    It didn't on mine.

    It's pretty simple, mark the bend point on the plate. Put the 20mm pipe on a flat heatproof surface (I used tile work surface in the kitchen). Place a book with a brick on it at each side of the plate, and heat at the bend point. You should see the plate start to bend. You can then offer the plate up to the bumper to check the amount of bend you want.

    On the final "tweak" bend I heated the plate, then when I was happy with the amount of bend I dipped the plate in a sink of cold water to set it solid.

    Just fill your sink with hot water and put the plate in while bending it in the right place. This way you don't risk discouloring on the plate.
    I would wright something funny and clever but does anyone read these anyway

    i used a soldering iron on flame setting - heated the plate and bent it over a table edge - perfect
