    Question Vented Discs?

Hi All, i need to change my front discs and pads sometime soon, i have had a look around and found these on ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FRONT-VENTED-B...QQcmdZViewItem do they look ok or am i better to go to a dealer? also how do i tell if i have vented discs?
    btw I have a 2000 x reg 1.6 16v Club.

forgot to ask: i have rear drums, how often do these need changing?

I was looking at these, they're pretty much the same as OE stuff

Have a look at Mintex stuff, as that's better than standard

If that is the actual disk then it is vented being that it is made like a sandwich with no filling ie solid disks surface that makes contact with the brake pad and then the gap to let out the heat in the middle thus giving it the name of vented disks

ALL UK Astra G models have vented discs - its only the European Opel badged 1.2 models that had solid discs.

A lot of ppl tend to get vented mixed up with grooved/drilled (as found on uprated setups) but yes those in the picture will be a direct replacement for your discs and pads. A fairly good price too but in all honesty u could probably get a good set of pattern parts from a local motor factor for about the same price if not cheaper.
