    Turbo timer and dump vale

    Hi,

    Iv just got an astra gsi z20let and its the first turbo iv owned.
    Just wondered wots the best turbo timer to get.
    And whats the best dump valve?

    firstly selcome.

    secondly if you do a search you will find your answers as this is covered atleast 10 times a week.

    for what its worth tho

    i have a turbo timmer from ebay (set it once and tahts it)
    and a baileys dv-26d dump valve on mine.

    i would suggest IF and on IF you want ur car to run good with out probs that you dont fit a dv... IF u insist you want one because of the sound then keep the OE dv connected as well as the baileys....

    just had my turbo timer fitted today bought it from halfords absolute bargain had it fitted at audio island in brigg what a top job they have done well worth the money stuck it on auto shocked on how long it says it will keep the engine running for a friend of mine said only needs 20 secs how wrong

    What your freind said is pretty much true,generally speaking if you haven't been driving to hard you should only have to have it running for 30secs but if you been driving it like you stole it then a couple of minutes tends to be fine from what i've seen

    As for the dump valve do i just need to get the d/v and fitting kit or shud i get the boost pipe aswel?
