    Emissions light help! Lambda error??

    Hello all,

My car has had an emissions light on the dash ever since the engine was put in the car in march.

Now it says the error code is:

heated o2 sensor circuit bank 1 sensor 1 and sensor 2.

So I'm guessing this relates to the two lambda's on the precat and cat sections of the exhaust.

I have replaced both of these sensors and the light is still up

The car idles a little low IMO. And maybe overfuelling slightly.

Although it drives faierly smoothly with no judders. Although i don't seem to get any overboost and it drops off to around 6psi at 3500-4000rpm.

Could anyone shed any light on this for me as it's doing my head in.

Could it be another sensor relating to these that is the problem? For instance the MAP sensor on the intercooler??

I have an AFM arriving brand new today or tomorrow as i found one cheap. So I will try this ASAP.

It just feels like the car starts to pull into the power band and then just backs off leaving you a bit disappointed.

    Any thoughts welcome.

    Dan

Did you reset the ecu mate? As it will still register. The light goes off after 1 mile or so.

Yes i've already reset the ecu mate. But the spanner light pops up and changes to the emissions light after a few minutes.

Just about to try the AFM now. Fingers and toes are crossed

Ok so just put on a brand new AFM (pattern replacement) and it won't run at all now!!!!

So put the old one back on and it runs fine again. Can't have been the AFM then!!

So can anyone please please please help me.

Could it be something to do with the fuelling? As the error codes are for both o2 sensors??

And they are both brand new!!!

I don't have a fuel return plumbed in either! As it was converted from a 1.8.

My mate who helped didn't think it was necessary to have the return in there. Could this be the source of my problems?

Or maybe the MAP sensor on the Intercooler?
