    Best way to De Badge

I have just got a 2002 astra SXI in black, and i think it looks pretty slick, but i think the badges on the back let it down. I want to remove the Astra badge and the engine size badge, but leave the griffin. What is the best way to remove them with out damaging the paintwork underneath. The last car i debadged was a old RS Turbo about 8 yers ago and i used a heat source to melt the glue underneath, but im wary about doing this on my new shiny paint. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers

I thought they might just pull off, but i wanted another opinion before i tried.

Also my astra is going into a vxl dealer wednesday for the Cambelt, Airbag warning light and a new Key Fob coding in, any one know roughly how much this is going to set me back, ive been told roughly 120 quid for fob, 75 quid for airbag light and 175 quid for cambelt( seems cheap for a cambelt to me)

Yeah cam belt should cost £130/£150 and get them to check the water pump at the same time.

Nice one thats about right then, the 175 quid i was told included the water pump, i wouldnt get the cambelt changed without doing the water pump anyway, if the belts coming off might aswell get it done at same time for peace of mind

I think its wrong how prices can differ so much from VXL garage to VXlL garage, what happened to standard prices for service jobs.
