    2 headunits question

I have a cd player in the top DIN slot and I have a DVD player & screen for the bottom DIN slot. I also have an ISO connector (car side) from another Astra. Would it work if I just "tee" them in with the ISO I have in my car and just turn off the one I'm not using? Any help would be appreciated.

Everything can be T'd apart from the speaker wires, they must only go from one headunit

To get sound out them both take the rca preout from one to the aux input of the other

You can do the speakers as long as you have a lot of 5 pin relays, it's a bit of work but can be done

I'm a total novice when it comes to things like this, so is it easy enough to do?

    Yes mate

I'd say your DVD player will have a aux input so have that as your main headunit so you run your speakers and aerial lead to that with power/ earth/ignition to the 2nd headunit and a set of RCA leads from the pre out of that to the aux input of the other

Why do you want 2 headunits though? What does each of them do that the other doesn't?

The only reason I want to have both as the DVD player Isn't the best for listening to CD's as it creates a few seconds between tracks. But it's handy to watch DVD's, especially for my daughter.
The CD player is ideal for listening to the radio and CD's, as I don't watch the DVD player much unless I'm with my daughter or waiting for something (appointments ect).

So realistically (sp) I'll only watch the DVD player every now and again.

What is the CD player you have then, make and model. I can look it up to see if that has a aux input you could use seeing as thats going to be the main one
