    Petrol question...

    Morning everyone,

I am driving from Manchetser down to Newquay in the morning and trying to decide weather to stick normal unleaded in or tesco super unleaded. I am trying to keep the cost down as much as possible due to the stupid petrol prices!!

With 4p a litre difference is it worth the super unleaded. Is it true the super unleaded gives you more mpg??

    Thanks for any advice

stick to 60 mph and you will see a good saving compared to going faster and use the cheaper fuel

as jal said stick to 60 and youll see a saving! using 95ron petrol is ok on the motorway as your not using massive boost! if your cars a turbo that is? if its not then the 95 is fine and id use it all the time as the difference on a n/a car is minimal! just had a look and i see yours is a 1.8 so the 95ron petrol is fine!

95 is just standard unledded supermarket fuel isn't usually as good as normal fuels because they water it down with additives and detergents. Having said that I've always found that asda fuel does more miles per tank and better power! sainsburys is awful - about 40 miles less to a tank in my old corsa
