Thumbs Up yesterdays mod's, my brake upgrade.

    fronts

    rears

started around 09.00 and didnt finish til just on 8pm and with good reason. without the right tools its a total nightmare!!!!

managed to snap a 14mm ring spanner, and even with a 24" bar and right socket it put up a fight til the last 2 threads, thats another story anyhow.
didnt get to road test them as i was so pooped, all the calipers and hubs have been foliatec'd and a new set of pads up front. i ditched the red stuff pads as i think they are more suited for track use.

    they do look good though

Very nice. I'm guessing you had trouble getting the bolts out that hold the calipers on?

not exactly Andy, it was the carrier bolts that were the problem. the N/S rear i managed to use my 14mm ring spanner on, i tried it the otherside and *PING!* killed the spanner built it all back up and went to see the fitters who lent my a bar and socket, got it back home, finished the rears then drove back to drop off the sykes pickivant thing off, then back home to do the fronts.

the car needs a major clean later... thats when i get to use my new purchase.

Sorry, meant to say carrier bolts. I can't get mine undone either, going into VX next week for them to do the disc's and pads.

I can call over after work and do it for you if you like. Far cheaper than VX too and you know no grease monkey will be blasting it then turning it off with a really hot turbo

defo advise them with ur driving Adam i'm using Apec pads (£25.18 from a motor factors) and if i'm honest i fell more confident with these after driving it for 2-3 miles so far and they are mioles from being bedded in!
