I fitted my steering wheel controls but....

....now my airbag light comes on!

I had to change the squib, which was garranteed working, as well as the wheel. The airbag is the original.

The light comes on when I switch on the ignition and then goes out like it always did, but then comes on and stays on.

Is there any way of checking the squib without having to pay Vauxhall 40 quid to tell me I need a squib?

Also, the squib is off a coupe, are there different squibs for different models/years?

    Small update:

I checked the wiring and found I hadn't connected the airbag properly, I have now done this but the light does the same as before! Is this a Tech2 job?

Switching the ignition on with this unplugged will trigger the light

Your going to have to get vauxhall or another garage with diagonistic equipment to reset this for you
