    cylinder head

I've just had the car on a vauxhall dianostic check, it's come back as

No compressions on No 1 and 2 cylinders , poss head gasket failiure.
Can anyone recomend the seal products you can buy??
Is changing a cylinder head gasket a tough job, what does it involve.
Car is making a loud tapping noise, will this reduce/clear if gasket is changed

It may help if we knew the engine and year mate, that way we will know how much work is involved!

no oil, large banging sound, lack of compression, sounds like its time for a rebuild / strip. Big end damage, main barings failure. I feel a new gasket or gasket paste will not solve this one.

Might just be cheaper to buy a new car.
