    Throttle body cold start bypass

Has anyone done this ??? i just searched but couldn`t find anything.
Its just a quick FREE way to reduce your inlet temp a bit more, the t/b heater isn`t really needed in the uk `s climate. Did mine just now and it took less than 5 mins to do, il put a pic up later on.

On the inlet manifold there is a small inlet and outlet pipe for the water.

    Just join the pipes together.

Done this on my Vectra V6's you don't feel any difference but it must help very slightly as once the throttle body is hot the air which passes through it will be warmed slightly so it will stun performance slightly..

Pretty stupid of them really as all this takes place after the temperature sensor, mind you you're probably only talking less then 0.5 degrees C as the air rushes through the TB that quickly anyway...

I personally think it's just one of those 'I'll just have a tatt around" mods like blanking the EGR off - it doesn't really do much..

Agreed - the air/fuel has already been metered anyway.

Every bit helps add all the bitts up that might not make a huge difference and they will eventually help by giving a lower intake temp and a cooler engine bay.
Bitts in in the process of doing are Wrap the turbo and down pipe, ptfe inlet manifold gasket, blank egr valve, cold start bypass, re route intake pipework (2.2 or 1.9 airbox), bonnet vents, thermo wrap metal intake pipework, fit catch tank.
