    Question Unbalanced brakes

Noticed the other day after whipping the drums off and having a butchers and listening / feeling during driving that it appears more than a fair proportion of my braking occours at the rear wheels

Whist this gives a nice flat braking effect with no forward diving I know it's not giving me the most efficient braking possible

Why, what's seized or not doing what it should?

If swmbo gets the parts today the drums, shoes, discs and pads are all being changed on Saturday and I'm just looking for any common pointers whilst it's stripped down.

    Oh it's a 1.6sxi by the way

make sure the rears are adjusted correctly. Ensure that the handbrake cable has no tension in it when adjusting the rears, a quick check is that when the hand brake is down and the you look at the rear brakes the arms on the rear shoe should be in their relaxed position. If either of the arms is not fully back then the cable is too tight. Also change the brake fluid

Pads, discs and shoes replaced and bled out (CBA to change the fluid) and after some intial faffing about (1 rear binding) it all looks like it's settled down nicely

But I have never seen such faffing pads with springs and clips and anti rattle do dars, right royal pain in the harris to get 'em on right
