Well since I bought the car I have never been happy with the colour of the alloy wheels, as I always thought they did not match the silver particularly well. So as 2 of the alloys showed some Stone chip damage and then scuffing one after having to take avoidance action last week, I decided it was time to get the wheel refurbed to the colour I wanted.
So a trip to Lap tap in Birmingham on Monday and a colour was choosen that best resembled the pic of what I wanted, and it was left in there capable hands. I choose a Black Chrome powder coated finish. The alloys were ready for collection on the same day but a wee trip down South meant that I was only able to pick them up on Tuesday, and then a mix up at Vauxhall meant that while my chrome valves arrived the securing bolts did not. so the tyres where only fitted today. I am very happy with the results and would highly recommend Lap Tap to anyone looking to refurb there alloys.
So onto the pics, which might I say do not do them justice as they do not show the chrome effect very well. Think of the Maclaren F1 team car silver colour and you will get the idea. Oh and the inside of the wheel is powder coated black.
