    power sounder again

    i have an astra g which fuse is the power sounder as mine keeps going off

    The power sounder is technically unfused. Yes there is a fuse that covers it but it controls alot of other things on the car, the immobiliser included

    thanks autosparks but what dose the power sounder do because the alarm still work without it conected

    It's part of the Thatcham Cat 1 qualification that an independent battery and sounder are used in addition to the vehicle battery and horn.

    Your alarm may still work but at low volume using the car horn - your insurers won't be too happy as the Thatcham Cat 1 is necessary to get the grouping as "low" as it is.

    Un plug it with the ignition ON , otherwise it will continue to sound as it will detect unauthorised tampering , otherwise it would be to easy for the would be thief to disable the alarm
