    re-upholsterd seats

hi all , been re-upholstering my seat 4 the last couple of weeks and i was planning to get them finished today but when i get to the side airbags(in front seats) it,s very tricky as i,v tried for about 3 hours today but ended up ripping the sides so i,ve taken the covers back off ready to replace the side pieces. is it possable to take out the airbag unit without it going off or causing any damage whatsoever? i,ll have a mess with owt but airbags scare me lol . any help or advice would be brill. many thanks .

Hi there, id say take it to the dealer to and get them to remove and replace them that way if they do "go off" they would be liable and have to replace them..... altho they should know how to do it without that happening lol!!
