    Lowered Cab pics please

    Can people post up pics of their lowered mk4 convertibles, as im unsure how low to go on 18's. cheers babs

    get some coilovers then you can change the height to suit.

    Hi Babs, this probably isn't quite what you are looking for, but i thought it may give you an idea.

    Standard ride height on the standard 16's

    and then lowered on the eibach -30 springs with a set of se2 17's



    This was straight after however, and they have settled a lot more now.
    If im being honest i would say this is the optimum drop on the cab, because as it stands, with its JMS lip, i scrape it quite a lot on speed bumps etc.

    Also something you should consider is that the cab rattles a lot more than a conventional car, and lowering only exaggerates that!

    My advice - Drop it 30mm on 17's or 18's , then simply add an ARB - the weight is already low in a cab because of all of the extra chassis reinforcement and therefore handles quite well in the twisties.

    crap pic but might give you a idea 17's with a 30mm drop all round and 18's fit on with no probs except a bit less of a turning circle.
