Whats your budget mate? I've always liked Alpine stuff, and they do cheap components like 'E class' up to more expensive ones like 'R' and 'X' class.

Hundreds of options though, and no point people recommending £400 speakers if you only have a £200 budget

    hey dave cheers for replying.

yeah i could do with a budget bout 250 but im wanting to do front and back , (budget not including amp for this) im a pioneer fan but i seen some fusion ones that look beefy with the midbass http://http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Brand-N....c81.m20.l1116 but not too clued up on the mounting depths what you reckon?

    cheers.

TBH mate your wasting your money buying speakers for the rear unless you plan on spending a lot of time in the back of the car.

Never used Fusion so can't really comment on how good they are, except from what I've read on here, most people don't rate them very high.

For the same price you could have Alpine type R's which are 110w RMS compared to the Fusions which are only 60w.
Have a look on here, lots of choice in the £120 range, including Rainbow which always seem to get rated highly.

Dunno if Fusion are shit, but for £110 there are better options

Rear speakers are for rear fill only, you can't hear them when in the front of the car. On mine I can set the fade from 50/50, to 100% front so the rears aren't working and not notice any difference.

I'd probably go for the Alpines because thats what I have used in the past and like them. But, the Rainbows, DLS, or Infinitys for the same price may be better . Best off waiting for an ICE expert to give there opinion

im down wi these alpine speakers they got quality reviews.

great price 2 , so i should mute the rear 4 speakers on the headunit and just concentrate on the front ye, but will these alpines fit into my car ya know with the mounting depths?

what amp woulkd you recommend and what cables would i need?

I'm purchasing new Components aswell and am going to get the Rainbow SLX 265 Deluxe.
Apparently they are very highly rated as said by buckle.

Guess you went for the 17's? You will need to either make a ring out of MDF, or buy the autoleads speaker adaptors. They are about £15 from halfords, or from here

As for an amp, again depends on budget, this Pioneer one is 2X125w RMS, so is perfect match for your speakers. Only £100 as well.

If you wanted to stick with Alpine, its twice the price at over £200, 2x150w
    http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/alpi...23a376582f03b6

And a wiring kit like this, 8Awg should be big enough for a 250w amp. Will just need some speaker cable then, or get a wiring kit that comes with speaker cable.
